Transform Hub Targets 100 UK Gyms with Rapid Franchise Expansion Plans
Fitness franchise Transform Hub has unveiled ambitious growth plans as it accelerates its UK rollout, targeting 100 locations by 2028.
Headquartered in Knutsford, the group is set to open 11 new gyms this year, building on its existing network of 27 sites. The expansion marks a significant step forward for the brand, which specialises in group-based personal training tailored to adults aged 35 and over.
Founded by James Calderbank, the business aims to bridge the gap between online coaching and in-person fitness experiences. Originally launched in Preston, the company has since established its headquarters in Knutsford as it scales nationally.
Speaking on the concept, Calderbank said the brand was created to combine the accountability of digital coaching with the energy and community of face-to-face training. “Transform Hub connects the two,” he explained, highlighting the hybrid model as a key differentiator in a competitive fitness market.
New franchise locations across the UK
The next phase of growth will see new franchise owned sites launched in:
- Altrincham
- Worcester
- Cheltenham
- Southampton
- Hull
- Cambridge
- Northampton
- Nottingham (South)
- Winchester
- Gosforth
- Pontefract
This rollout supports the brand’s wider strategy to scale rapidly across key regional markets.
Hybrid fitness model driving growth
Transform Hub’s proposition combines personalised coaching on nutrition, lifestyle, and habit-building with high-energy group training sessions. New members typically start with a six-week programme, with many reporting weight loss of up to one stone.
The franchise has already secured 44 territories and is laying the groundwork for international expansion, having recently obtained intellectual property trademarks in both the US and Europe.
Calderbank emphasised that the model delivers long-term results by combining structured coaching with a strong community element. He also highlighted the opportunity for franchise partners, noting that operators benefit from a proven system including marketing, programming, technology, and operational support.
Strong performance fuels expansion
The growth strategy follows a strong year for the business. Transform Hub reported a 61% increase in revenue, reaching ÂŁ1.7 million, while membership numbers rose by 28.4% to 3,695 active members.
Across its network, the brand has now delivered more than one million workouts, underlining both demand and engagement as it continues to scale.
With a clear expansion roadmap and increasing franchise interest, Transform Hub is positioning itself as a fast-growing player in the UK fitness franchise sector.
