Three brothers proudly studying three years ahead of their school year level

Exceptional Achievement: Three Brothers Excel in Maths, Studying Three Years Ahead of Their Peers

Meet Beyazid, Yunus, and Yavuz, three brothers who have achieved an impressive milestone in their maths education. At just 12, 9, and 5 years old, they have each been placed on Level 3 of Kumon’s Advanced Student Honour Roll (ASHR) in maths, demonstrating a proficiency level three or more years higher than the international standard expected for their age. This remarkable feat is a testament to their dedication, perseverance, and the effectiveness of the Kumon programme.

The Kumon method encourages independent study and regular completion of assigned work, fostering good study habits and a steady routine. The brothers’ success is a shining example of what can be achieved with persistence and discipline. Beyazid, the eldest, began his Kumon journey at the age of three and recalls learning basic addition and subtraction, which gave him a head start when he started school. He is currently studying A-level-standard trigonometry with Kumon, a topic he has yet to cover in school.

Developing a Strong Foundation in Maths

Yunus, the middle brother, has also seen significant benefits from his Kumon study. He can confidently complete equations, finish his school work with speed and accuracy, and achieve high scores in his tests. Yunus has developed a study routine that helps him manage his time better and work independently. He is currently studying simultaneous equations, inequalities, and graphing functions with Kumon.

Yavuz, the youngest brother, has made tremendous progress in his maths education, learning to write numbers, count, and complete basic additions and subtractions. He can now complete his Kumon work independently and is studying column addition and subtraction questions. The brothers’ mother, Azlina, is thrilled with their progress and attributes their success to the Kumon programme.

A Parent’s Perspective

Azlina commented, “I am very happy with the Kumon programme. The Kumon worksheets are structured so that my children can pick up and work on new maths concepts independently most of the time. At other times, our Kumon instructor, Corinne, is always available to guide them.” The brothers’ achievements are a testament to the effectiveness of the Kumon programme in helping children develop a strong foundation in maths and achieve academic success.

Corinne, the Kumon Ancoats Study Centre Instructor, is equally proud of the three brothers, stating, “Bey, Yunus and Yavuz’s success is a testament to their unwavering resolve and discipline to adhere to the Kumon programme. Such good work ethics at such a young age are a joy to witness.” The brothers’ achievement is a shining example of what can be achieved with dedication and perseverance.
