Puddle Ducks Bristol and Bath Celebrate 10 Years of Fundraising for Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal
Puddle Ducks Bristol and Bath is celebrating a major milestone in their fundraising efforts for Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity. This year marked their 10th year of involvement in the campaign, which supports the hospital in providing exceptional care to over 140,000 patients annually from across the South-West and South-Wales.
The Bristol Children’s Hospital is a leading provider of pediatric care, offering around-the-clock support to babies, children, and young adults with complex medical conditions. The hospital’s staff are dedicated to delivering the highest level of care, and the Grand Appeal plays a vital role in supporting this mission.
Supporting the Hospital’s Mission
The Grand Appeal supports the hospital by providing essential services, including family accommodation, medical research, equipment, play, art, and music therapy, as well as art enhancements and new facilities. One of the most exciting projects currently underway is the development of The Grand Appeal’s Patient Hotel, a brand new, groundbreaking facility that will allow sick children to finish their treatment in a home-from-home environment alongside their family, rather than in a hospital bed.
According to Sarah Austin, Owner of Puddle Ducks Bristol and Bath, “This year we donated Easter eggs and crafts for children spending time in hospital over the Easter holidays. Puddle the Duck also visited the wards, putting a smile on the children’s faces. It’s truly an honour to be involved in such a wonderful campaign.” The team’s efforts have resulted in a significant fundraising total, with £575 raised this year alone, bringing their overall total to over £7,000 over the past 10 years.
