LSL Acquires Meyers Franchise Network in South Coast Expansion

LSL Strengthens South Coast Presence with Meyers Franchise Network Acquisition

LSL Estate Agency Franchising has expanded its regional footprint with the acquisition of Meyers Franchising Limited, adding 10 franchise partners and six branches across Dorset and the South Coast to its growing network.

The deal brings the well-established Meyers Estate Agents under LSL’s franchising division, further strengthening its position in key coastal markets including Christchurch, Bournemouth, Weymouth, Poundbury, Sherborne and Shaftesbury. Founded in 2011 by Mark Meyer, the Meyers brand has built a strong reputation through a hybrid franchise model that combines centralised systems and branding with locally owned and operated businesses.

Focus on lettings growth

As part of the acquisition, LSL has outlined plans to invest in the network, with a particular emphasis on expanding lettings services—an area identified as a key growth opportunity within the Meyers operation. By integrating Meyers into its wider infrastructure, LSL aims to provide franchise partners with enhanced operational support, shared technology, and access to broader resources.

The lettings sector continues to attract strategic focus across the property industry, offering recurring revenue streams despite wider challenges in the buy-to-let market. LSL’s investment signals confidence in the long-term resilience of lettings, particularly in high-demand coastal regions.

Sector consolidation continues

This latest move comes amid ongoing consolidation within the UK estate agency sector, where larger franchisors are increasingly acquiring smaller networks to scale their presence and strengthen service capabilities. While some independent agencies face financial pressures, established franchise groups are leveraging acquisitions to accelerate growth and improve efficiency.

Commenting on the deal, Mark Meyer highlighted the achievements of the network, crediting its success to the strength and commitment of its franchise partners. Meanwhile, Paul Hardy, managing director of LSL Estate Agency Franchising, described Meyers as a high-quality business with a proven model and strong partner engagement.

Expanding regional footprint

The acquisition significantly enhances LSL’s coverage along the South Coast—an area that continues to see consistent activity across both residential sales and lettings. By retaining the Meyers brand across its existing branches, LSL is aiming to preserve local brand equity while benefiting from the scale and support of a national franchising operation.

Although financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed, the move reflects a clear strategy from LSL to grow through targeted acquisitions, strengthen its franchise offering, and capitalise on evolving market conditions.

As consolidation trends continue, deals like this highlight how franchising remains a key vehicle for expansion within the UK property sector—offering both scalability for operators and ongoing support for local business owners.
