Kings Active Foundation visit The King’s Foundation charity

Discovering the Inspiring Work of The King’s Foundation Charity

It was a great pleasure recently to experience the work of The King’s Foundation charity, based at the Dumfries House estate in Ayrshire, Scotland. This visit provided a unique opportunity to witness firsthand the charity’s diverse range of education and training programs, catering to individuals and groups of all ages and backgrounds.

Passion and Dedication in Action

We were struck by the sheer range of education and training programmes the charity provides, including traditional arts and heritage workshops, STEM, horticulture, agriculture, outdoor education, wellbeing, and hospitality centers. The opportunity to meet the talented individuals who run these programs was truly inspiring, as their passion, energy, and focus on delivering benefits to their local community, the UK, and internationally were palpable.

Alignment with Core Values

Our CEO, Andrew Busby, reflected on the visit, highlighting the alignment between The King’s Foundation’s work and our own core values. “Training, inspiration, empowerment, and community are at the heart of our work with children, young people, and families because they are qualities understood and exhibited by the talented and committed people who operate our programmes. It was wonderful to meet a charity who, although using different tools for development and positive change – align so well with our own core values and beliefs.”
