We love celebrating the achievements of our Jam Coding franchisees, and today we’re putting the spotlight on Jack, who has made significant strides in just nine months. His dedication and hard work have yielded remarkable results, demonstrating the true spirit of a Jam Coding franchisee.
Jack’s impressive expansion includes running 12 successful After School Clubs (ASCs), with an additional three booked for September 2025, bringing him to his immediate goal of 15. This focused growth speaks volumes about his strategic approach. He has also launched a Saturday morning club, extending the reach of Jam Coding to eager young learners.
A Hands-on Approach to Business and Team Development
As a hands-on business owner, Jack’s operational side is equally impressive. He personally runs a small number of his clubs while identifying future Head Coaches among his current Code Coaches. His vision is clear: empower his team to take the lead, allowing him to oversee and expand his operations further.
Jack prioritizes his team’s development through termly face-to-face group catch-ups, where they train together on new courses. This commitment to ongoing professional development is crucial for maintaining high standards and fostering a strong, knowledgeable team. “My team meetings are absolutely essential,” Jack shared. “It’s a chance for us all to train together, share best practices, and connect. Keeping my team well-trained and motivated means we’re always delivering the best possible experience for the kids.”
Expanding Reach and Impact
A testament to the quality of Jam Coding’s programs, some schools Jack is partnered with have approached him to run extended 2-hour ASCs. This speaks to the value and impact Jam Coding is having on children’s learning and development. Jack is also running a private Summer club offering full-day sessions for three weeks, providing invaluable coding experiences for children during the Summer Holidays.
Jack’s entrepreneurial spirit extends to exploring every avenue for growth. He has applied to the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) program in three different Local Authorities, which have expressed enthusiasm for Jam Coding’s offerings. Jack is firmly on all LA mailing lists and HAF communications to access funding for fully funded holiday clubs in the future.
Community Engagement and Partnerships
Jack has engaged with the community by participating in Christmas and Summer school fairs, setting up engaging stalls with banners, flyers, and laptops running different activities. This hands-on approach has allowed him to build fantastic relationships with parents. Furthermore, Jack is in promising talks with Scout groups and Homeschooling groups, exploring new avenues to bring coding education to even more children.
