As we approach International Women’s Day 2025, we want to take a moment to recognize the strength, resilience, and achievements of women everywhere, particularly within our Turtle Tots family. International Women’s Day is a global celebration of women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements, and it also serves as a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
The Importance of Celebrating International Women’s Day
This year’s theme, #AccelerateAction, emphasizes the need for swift and decisive steps to achieve gender parity. According to data from the World Economic Forum, it will take until 2158 to reach full gender parity at the current rate of progress, which is roughly five generations from now. We believe this is not good enough, and we must work together to accelerate action and speed up the rate of progress worldwide. Whether it’s focusing on equality, empowerment, or celebrating achievements, women are constantly making waves – both in and out of the pool!
Why International Women’s Day Matters to Turtle Tots
We have several reasons to celebrate International Women’s Day, including empowering mums, celebrating our teachers, building a supportive community, and championing future generations. Our classes provide a space for mums to bond with their babies, build confidence, and find a supportive community. We want to celebrate the strength and resilience of all mothers. Our incredible world-class teachers, who are predominantly women, are the backbone of Turtle Tots, providing a safe and nurturing environment for babies and toddlers to learn to swim.
Celebrating and Empowering Women in 2025
Throughout 2025, we’ll be building an empowering environment where women thrive, achieving full gender parity, dreaming boldly, and realizing their ambitions. We’ll also be sharing inspiring stories of incredible women within our Turtle Tots community – mums, teachers, and staff – who are making a difference. Additionally, we’ll be promoting women’s wellbeing by sharing resources and tips on women’s health and wellbeing, both physical and mental. We’ll be engaging in social media to spread messages of empowerment and celebrate the achievements of women.
