Belvoir Franchisees ready for Post Lockdown Rebound

Belvoir Franchisees Prepare for Post-Lockdown Rebound with Bespoke Training Programme

As the world navigates the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Belvoir Group has taken proactive steps to support its franchisees and staff. Over 1100 franchisees and staff from Belvoir, Northwood, and Newton Fallowell participated in a series of free digital training webinars, designed to ensure businesses remained operational during lockdown and prepared for a post-lockdown rebound. According to CEO Dorian Gonsalves, these efforts have yielded positive results, with the Group emerging in good shape despite the difficulties.

Investing in Training and Support

The Belvoir Group’s commitment to training and support has been instrumental in helping franchisees navigate the challenges of lockdown. With lettings accounting for around 80% of the business, the Group’s ability to continue operating successfully during this period is a testament to the effectiveness of its strategies. The decision not to furlough any members of the franchise support team has also ensured that offices across the Group have received the necessary guidance and resources to thrive.

Franchisees have benefited from a range of free training courses delivered by industry experts, including Stephen Brown, Tony Morris, and Andy Halstead. These webinars have covered topics such as finance, grant applications, smart viewings, marketing, IT, and compliance, providing franchisees with the knowledge and skills needed to adapt to the changing landscape. Additional webinars have focused on stress management and mental health, recognizing the importance of supporting franchisees’ well-being during this difficult time.

A Stronger Position for Franchisees

The Belvoir Group’s approach to franchising has proven to be a mutually beneficial business model, with the franchisor’s investment in training and support ultimately strengthening the position of its franchisees. Regular online regional network meetings have provided a platform for sharing information, ideas, and moral support, demonstrating the value of being part of a franchise network during a crisis.

As the lockdown restrictions ease, Belvoir franchisees are well-positioned to capitalize on the pent-up demand for move-ins and house sales. With the Group’s continued investment in training and support, franchisees are equipped to thrive in a post-lockdown environment.
