Davina’s journey in music education is a testament to her dedication and expertise in the field. With a degree in Music specializing in vocal performance, she went on to pursue a PGCE to become a secondary music and drama teacher. Her 15-year teaching career, including five years as Head of Music, has equipped her with a deep understanding of the importance of music education in a child’s development.
A Career in Music Education and Performance
Throughout her career, Davina has been involved in various aspects of music, including musical theatre, where she has performed in and musically directed several shows. Her vocal talents have also been featured in commercials for prominent brands such as Reebok and Braun. Additionally, she has sung with several choirs, further showcasing her vocal expertise. After having her fourth child, Davina decided to leave the classroom and became a peripatetic vocal teacher, allowing her to balance her family life while continuing to share her passion for music with others.
Joining Little Music Stars
When her son started school, Davina sought a job that would fit around her busy family schedule. It was then that she discovered Little Music Stars, and it proved to be the perfect fit. As the very first franchisee, she spent five successful years running parent & child and pre-school classes across east Kent. This experience not only allowed her to meet numerous families and children but also deepened her understanding of the importance of early music education. Davina’s role as Franchise Support Manager for Little Music Stars is a natural progression, leveraging her experience and expertise to support current and new franchisees.
