After 25 years of managing engineering teams at Sky TV, Tahir Khan was ready for a change. When redundancy came knocking, he decided to take the leap and start his own business. In July 2024, Tahir launched his Pacifica Local franchise in High Wycombe, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his career.
Fast forward 12 months, and Tahir’s business is thriving. He has not only brought his son on board as a second engineer but has also added a third engineer to the team. This rapid expansion is a testament to Tahir’s hard work and dedication to providing exceptional service to his customers. A New Career Path
Tahir’s decision to leave Sky TV and start his own business was not taken lightly. With his son by his side, Tahir’s business is not only thriving but also becoming a family affair. “Going it alone was tough to start with, but bringing my son in as a second engineer really did help,” he says. “And not to forget the backing from the team at HQ – they really gave me the confidence and knowledge to know I was on the right track to building a successful business.” As the business continues to grow, Tahir is focused on delivering exceptional service to his customers and building a reputation as a trusted and reliable engineer in the local community.
