Clip ‘n Climb Gloucester and Play Den officially opened their doors on Friday 7th February 2026 at Gloucester Quays, welcoming families for a day of climbing, play, and celebration.
Guests enjoyed a fantastic launch event as visitors explored the centre’s climbing walls, soft play facilities, and café, marking the beginning of an exciting new destination for families in the area.
VIP Ticket Giveaway Celebrated Website Launch
To celebrate the launch of the website, Clip ‘n Climb Gloucester ran a competition on Facebook and Instagram, giving away ten pairs of VIP tickets.
Each winning pair included a free climbing session, access to the Vertical Drop Slide, a complimentary drink from the South Ridge Café, and a Clip ‘n Climb branded water bottle. Winners were randomly selected and announced on Friday 6th February, with VIP tickets valid for 12 months.
Something for Every Age
The centre launched with 19 climbing challenges, including the popular Vertical Drop Slide and Stairway to Heaven Challenges, giving visitors the chance to push their limits and test their nerve.
Meanwhile, Play Den opened with four levels of soft play designed for children aged 0 to 10, including Toddler Town for under 5s and a dedicated area where younger children could build confidence and explore safely away from older children.
Opening Weekend Treats
To mark the opening weekend, every paying climber and soft play visitor received a complimentary slushie (while stocks lasted) or squash.
These refreshments provided the perfect boost after tackling climbing challenges or exploring every level of Play Den.
Month of Free Fun Competition Launched
A new Facebook competition launched during opening weekend, offering two winners either free climbing or free soft play for the entire month of March.
Families were encouraged to follow the centre’s social media channels for full terms, conditions, and entry details.
More Chances to Win
Throughout the opening weekend, surprise in-centre competitions were held, giving visitors the chance to win Clip ‘n Climb merchandise.
These added an extra layer of excitement to the launch celebrations.
