Kirsty’s Journey to Completing the Kumon Maths Programme
Kirsty, a 17-year-old student from the Kumon Teddington Study Centre, has achieved a remarkable feat by completing the entire Kumon Maths Programme. Her dedication to daily study has paid off, and she is now proud to have reached this milestone alongside studying for her A-levels. Kirsty’s journey with Kumon began seven years ago, and her commitment to the programme has been unwavering.
Throughout her time with Kumon, Kirsty has developed a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, which has helped her excel in school. She recalls struggling with maths in Year 5, but after starting Kumon, she was moved up to the top maths set and began to find the work easy. Kumon specifically helped her with her times tables, and she became top of her class in times tables tests.
Overcoming Challenges and Achieving Success
Kirsty’s journey was not without its challenges. She found developing her algebraic skills and working with functions quite tricky, especially towards the end of the programme. However, with dedication and perseverance, she was able to overcome these challenges and reach completion. Her hard work and commitment to Kumon have earned her a great sense of pride and achievement.
Kirsty’s experience with Kumon has not only improved her maths skills but also helped her develop independent learning skills. She found that consistent Kumon practice was a form of revision, which helped her achieve great results in her Maths GCSE. She is now pursuing maths at A-level and finds that Kumon has kept her ahead of topics in school, allowing her to feel confident in her classes.
A Testament to the Power of Daily Study
Kirsty’s achievement is a testament to the power of daily study and the impact it can have on a student’s academic journey. Her Kumon Instructor, Fabienne, is delighted with Kirsty’s progress and attributes her success to her dedication and persistence. Fabienne’s support and guidance have been instrumental in Kirsty’s journey, and she is grateful for the encouragement and help she received along the way.
Kirsty’s story is an inspiration to students and parents alike, demonstrating the benefits of committing to daily study and the rewards that can be achieved through hard work and perseverance. As Kirsty looks to the future, she is confident in her ability to excel in her Maths A-Level and is excited about her future education.
