Heather Alexander, a determined entrepreneur, has come a long way since her days in the banking industry. Alongside her business partner and friend Lewis Scott, she has been a Swimtime franchisee since April 2022. A Career Change and a New Passion
Before becoming a Swimtime franchisee, Heather worked as a swimming teacher for another company. However, she wasn’t satisfied with the experience, which led her to reach out to other swimming teachers, including Marion, a teacher for Swimtime. This connection introduced her to Ian, who runs Swimtime Scotland, and she began working as a teacher for him. This marked the beginning of her journey with Swimtime, and she eventually became interested in purchasing the Edinburgh area.
Heather’s personal circumstances initially prevented her from pursuing the opportunity, but the COVID-19 lockdowns gave her the push she needed to re-evaluate her priorities. She decided to take the leap and approached Ian and Paul about purchasing the Edinburgh area. This time, she was ready to take on the challenge, and she asked Lewis to join her as a business partner.
